Howard Munce, dubbed the “Dean of Artists” in Westport, Connecticut, provided many of the illustrations that are featured on this blog. He was art director for several New York advertising agencies, magazines and publishing firms. His drawings are still published regularly in a variety of newspapers and magazines, from Yankee to the New York Times. Mr. Munce was 100 years old when he died on March 5.

Tom Glover, whose home is in Rowayton, Connecticut, is best known as a caricaturist, creating posters and mementos of various kinds, mostly of sports events and corporate meetings, with caricatures of all the participants.
